On Thursday, all pupils and staff gathered in the Quad to commemorate all of those who have served and are still serving in the armed forces. Touching words were spoken by the schools chaplain, Steve Hunt who prayed for all those who sacrified their lives for us in World War One and the wars to follow.

Whilst the school gathered to pay respects, one pupil played a touching rendition of the Last Post followed by the Reveillie from the top of the main school building which echoed over all who stood by.

After the service, members of our Combined Cadet Force, senior prefects, the Head and Commander Andrew Ainsley (OP 1994-96) gathered in the memorial library to pay tribute to OPs who had served in the forces. We would like to thank Commander Andrew Ainsley for laying a wreath on behalf of the OP community.
