In the last week of the Summer Term, OP Luke Horton (1990) now healthcare investor, visited the school in person and captivated pupils with a charismatic and frank talk about what it is like to be a 'real life dragon'.

Luke invests in entrepreneurs and start-ups at the early stage and has backed a range of companies from personalised vitamins by post to Tasmania’s only Whiskey distiller!

Luke was able to relate stories of the culture and leadership style of his start-ups directly to what pupils learn in the Business A Level.  He also ventured “off piste” to give real world advice about the importance of growing your personal network and how to apply for jobs that don’t have an application form!

A huge thanks to Luke for coming back to PGS, we now have some budding entrepreneurs ready to follow in his footsteps!
