OP 2004 - 2005

Before joining PGS for his final year Tom attended Meoncross, an independent school in Stubbington.

A dearly loved son and younger brother to Russell and Emily,Tom was a very sensitive, thoughtful, kind and loving son. He was funny, witty and a joker who would always make his family and friends laugh. He was also charming, charismatic and good with people.

After leaving PGS he worked in the family business Clarke Mews Estate Agents as a junior negotiator, working his way up to become a senior negotiator and then Assistant Manager. During the course of his career Tom built up a good rapour with clients and purchasers who would always ask for Tom when deciding to sell in the future as they valued his experience and leadership.

Devastatingly, Tom experienced some mental health issues in 2013 but after a long period of recuperation he recovered sufficiently and returned to work again.

Tom’s first love was music, he played piano and keyboard. Much of his music was created with using specific computer software incorporating his guitar playing and singing his own lyrics. He has left some wonderful music for us to enjoy.

Tom did find life stressful at times but with family support he continued to do well. However, on the 28th June 2020 he did not return home from work at the normal time and his family were informed by the police in the early hours of the next morning that Tom had taken his own life.

In celebration of Tom’s life his family nominated Tonic Music a charity based in Portsmouth offering mental health recovery through music and were able to raise in excess of £6,000.
