Henry Brian Nicholls
OP 1946-50
13 January 1932 – 10 November 2020
Brian was born and raised in the UK, where he shared many fond memories of his life in Portsmouth and Macclesfield.
His family emigrated to Pinawa, Manitoba in 1968 before relocating to Bedford, Nova Scotia in 1971 where he worked until he retired at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth.
Brian and his wife, Nadine, moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1998 to be closer to their children and enjoy their retirement.
He enjoyed his time in the garden, volunteering at the Telus World of Science, playing with his grandchildren, dining out with his wife, and enjoying a glass of wine with his friends.
Brian is remembered with love by Nadine, his wife of 65 years and their three sons Tim, Andrew, and Clive (Patty) and two grandchildren Cara and JT.
