While working as a windsurfing instructor in Vassiliki, Greece, last summer, Charlie Connaughton (OP 2016) was surprised to spot the Head of Modern Languages, Oliver Stone, sail past him on the azure waters.
Charlie saw Mr Stone and his family out in town having dinner later that same evening and they grabbed the opportunity to have a proper catch-up and record the moment for posterity. (Charlie assures us the mullet was the result of a lost bet with a friend!).
Since graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2021, Charlie has been windsurfing in Greece, Brazil and now Bonaire, off the northern coast of Venezuela, where he is working as an instructor and photographer. He will be returning to Greece for the summer season before heading back to London in the autumn.
