Each year we run a "business networking" event for Upper Sixth pupils: similar to those which they are likely to experience at university or in the workplace.  The evening is a formal environment with both OPs and invited guests from the business community.  Sixth Formers attend workshops in the weeks before the event to help them  “work the room” with decorum and finesse in order to meet people and engage others in conversation.  In order for the evening to closely mimic real life, there are canapes and drinks and the event is held off-site at the smart Aspex Gallery in Gunwharf.  

Last year was the biggest and best yet and we received exceptionally positive feedback from the pupils, parents and invited business guests: a rare opportunity for Sixth Formers to practice their skills and be trusted to operate in a formal setting. Many pupils ranked it as one of the highlights of the Sixth Form!

Given the growth of the event we are in need of OPs with experience in such contexts, to complement the existing business people, with a range of skills. The evening will be fully supervised by PGS Sixth Form staff.
